There are currently only two farms in Canada producing high quality catnip oil with 80-90% nepatalactone. A very nice golden colored oil direct from the farm and best of all the oil has no pesticide residues! Researchers report that nepetalactone, the essential oil in catnip that gives the plant its characteristic odor, is about ten times more effective at repelling mosquitoes than DEET — the compound used in most commercial insect repellents.
